2020年2月西浦渌水堂の支配人に就任いたしました。西浦家は親戚にあたり、先代の西浦八郎氏には前職でお世話になったご縁もあります。

私がパリに駐在した7年間ではヨーロッパの文化芸術に触れることができた一方、遠く離れた島国である日本独自の文化芸術の素晴らしさを再認識する貴重な時間を過ごすことができました。
特にパリ時代の後半は日本画や陶磁器等日本固有の芸術をフランスを中心とした海外の皆様に展覧会を通じて紹介する仕事に就き、改めて日本芸術の神髄を知ることができました。そしてその魅力がまだまだ海外にきちんと紹介されていないと同時に日本人自身もさらなる理解が必要だと感じました。この経験を通じてその仕事が自分のライフワークであると確信し、歴史ある淥水堂で新たにスタートいたしました。日本の素晴らしい美術品を見て触ってさらに所有して頂くことで真の理解が深まると思っています。

国内外で幅広いジャンルの美術に接した経験を活かし、渌水堂の仕事を通じて日本文化芸術の普及に微力ながら貢献できれば幸いです。

In February 2020, I assumed the managing director of Nishiura Ryokusuido.
The NISHIURA family is a relative, and Mr. NISHIURA, Hachiro, the predecessor, has a relationship that he took care of my previous job.
In my seven years in Paris, I was able to experience the European culture and art, on the other hand I also had a precious time to reacknowledge the splendor of Japanese unique cultural and art, a distant island country.
Especially in the latter half of Paris period, I was able to learn about the essence of Japanese art through exhibitions to introduce Japanese art such as Japanese traditional painting (NIHONGA) and ceramic, to people overseas mainly in FRANCE At the same time that the charm has not yet been properly introduced overseas, I felt that the Japanese themselves needed to understand more.
Through this experience, I was convinced that the role was my life's work, and then I was newly started to work at the historical art dealer RYOKUSUIDO. I think that the true understanding is deepened by seeing and touching the Japanese wonderful art works and own them further. I would be happy if I could make use of my experience in wide range of art genres in Japan and abroard to contribute to the spread of Japanese culture and art through my work at RYOKUSUIDO.
