西浦渌水堂は大正元年、西浦廉八が岐阜県多治見市より上京し渋谷区笹塚の地に「西浦美術店」として開業しました。
 
それより前には多治見市にて美術陶磁器類の制作販売及び地域のアーティストやその作品の紹介を積極的に行い、江戸、大阪はじめ海外にもその活動域を拡げ米国ボストンやニューヨークにまでも出店しておりました。しかし、美術品制作販売と言うモノへのこだわりを貫く方針の中でも当時の不況と言う流れにその志を貫き通せず、明治がその時を終えると同時に、その活動も幕を閉じる事となりました。

それでも、美術品（アート）という道は捨てずに、廉八、俊一親子は上京、渋谷区笹塚に西浦美術店を開業し書画類を中心に商いをはじめました。三代目八郎の代には鑑賞陶磁器類を中心とした商いに変遷し社名も「西浦淥水堂」と改め、現在の港区青山の地に居を移しました。多くのお客様のご愛顧とご指導のおかげで社名「淥水」の意味する通り、美しい水の流れの様に多くの品物とお客様とのご縁を頂く事が出来ました。
 
2002年に四代目となる西浦喜八郎がその跡を継ぎ現在に至ります。

Nishiura Ryokusuido was opened as "Nishiura Art Store" in Sasazuka, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo in 1919, when NISHIURA, Renhachi went to Tokyo from Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture.
 
Before that, he actively produced and sold art ceramics in Tajimi City and introduced local artists and their works, expanding his activities overseas, such as Edo and Osaka, and opening stores in Boston and New York. However, even in the policy of sticking to things called art production and sales, we could not survive the recession, and the activity ended at the same time as the Meiji era ended.
 
Even so, the road of art works was not thrown away, and NISHIURA, Renhachi and Shunichi father and son opened Nishiura art shop in Sasazuka, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, and started selling mainly paintings and calligraphy writings. 3rd generation NISHIURA, Hachiro changed to the business centered on appreciating ceramics, and the company name was changed to "Nishiura Ryokusuido", then the shop was moved to the present-day location in Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Thanks to the patronage and guidance of many customers, as the company name "Ryokusui" means, we were able to get a lot of art works and relationships with customers like a beautiful flow of water.

In 2002, NISHIURA, Kihachiro succeeded the fourth generation to the present day.
